Each resort in brief
Seagate Church View Resorts, near the Basilica, is the most reviewed of the four: 4.1★ from over 3,300 Google reviews. Its Google Maps listing lists air-conditioning, parking and a pool.
GS Resorts, on Main Road, has 3.7★ from over 1,400 reviews. Google Maps lists a pool, free parking and free breakfast.
Velankanni Lake Resort, also on Main Road, has 4.0★ from over 1,000 reviews. Google Maps lists free breakfast.
Sam Xavier Beach Resort, on Beach Road, is much smaller on Google, with 24 reviews and 3.6★, so read those reviews and call before booking.

Looking for MGM?
Many people search for “MGM resort Velankanni”. MGM Vailankanni Residency is listed on Google Maps as a hotel, not a resort, so it isn’t in the table above. It is one of the most reviewed stays in town; you’ll find it on all hotels in Velankanni.
Before you book
- “Resort” does not always mean a pool. Only two of the four list one on Google Maps. If a pool, garden or sea view matters to you, ask when you book.
- During the annual feast (29 August – 8 September), book well ahead; rooms fill early for the feast week.
- Compare with the hotels. Several hotels near the Basilica and on Beach Road rate as highly as the resorts; the hotels hub lets you sort them all by rating and reviews.
